At Gates Chili Central School District, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected. We recognize that a student’s ability to learn and achieve high academic standards is directly impacted by the environment in which they learn. That’s why we take incidents of bullying, discrimination and harassment seriously.
In accordance with the New York State Dignity for All Students Act (DASA), we strive to foster a school culture that is free from bullying, intimidation, taunting, discrimination and harassment—including cyberbullying. This applies to all students, regardless of actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender, or sex.
The district prohibits all forms of bullying, discrimination and harassment by students or staff, whether it occurs on school property, at school-sponsored events, or off-campus if it disrupts the school environment.
